A crudely drawn map of the general area of the city with some of the area features. Obviously not to scale. The continent is named Dromundy, the city lies on the west coast of that continent.
The city is surrounded by the golden grasslands that give the city its name. Many of the farms that feed the area are found out here.
The North Road heads out of the north gates and runs along the sea northward. It heads alongside many towns and up to Northroc, another walled city that lies mostly in ruins with a few squatters and creatures living among the debris.
The South Road heads out of the south gates and into Wickwood Forest. The forest is rather large, stretching east and south for many many miles. It is home to a few small villages and all sorts of creatures from various woods animals, to dryads, wood elves, satyrs and goblins. The road runs south for a long way eventually coming to Goldhaven's sister city of Southhaven.
The East Road heads out the eastern gates across the grasslands then across a stone bridge that spans the fast flowing Savage River. The east road forks off into three roads a ways east. One fork heads between the Duskspear Mountains and the city of Darrow. The Duskspear Mountains are tall peaks that run north then north east. Many creatures live in them including dwarves, orcs, bird creatures. The city of Darrow has long fallen to criminal rule with the dominant gang the Redstripe Brigands controlling a puppet mayor. This fork is rife with criminals and brigands. The middle fork runs due east off to some nasty slaver camps and the lower fork heads to a mill town called Murkerin.
Fort Sunspear was formally a fort that had fallen to disrepair. Forces from Goldhaven and their allies moved against the violent forces of the east and with dwarven help, they restored Sunspear and keep it garrisoned in the quiet time after their victory in the Spring War.
The west gates of the city open up to the Goldhaven docks which the ships of the city and trade vessels make port.
